KDDI America Attends Channel Partners Conference Expo

KDDI America, the American division of KDDI, enjoyed a fantastic turnout at the Channel Partners Conference Expo held on March 13th-15 at the Aria Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Event boasted their largest crowd ever with a total of 3,300 participants.

KDDI America had seen growth in selling to the Channel in 2010. They believed their participation in this year’s Expo was important to strengthen existing partnerships as well as foster new connections. KDDI America’s US Marketing Director, Sandra de Novellis, participated in a panel discussion entitled ‘Exploring International Telecommunications’ along with participants from Global Crossing and Hutchinson. This panel was designed as an educational forum for Channel Partners to learn more about issues specific to the International marketplace. ‘Clearly there is a need for on-going education to the Channel. The industry is dynamic and ever changing so the need to educate on trends such as security, in-country regulations or service offerings such as Cloud Computing is very helpful’, says Sandra de Novellis.

Gartner reports that in 2011 the Cloud Service opportunity is over $140 billion dollars.

KDDI America’s participation in the event provided outreach to the Channel. They met with existing business partners and managed to host a dinner for one of their largest Master Agents at one of the local restaurants. There was also the opportunity for brand building and creating awareness for both KDDI America and TELEHOUSE. Several prospects approached the KDDI America booth and were not aware that they can provide a total IT solutions package by working with TELEHOUSE data center facilities worldwide. “We hope to do more of these events and provide more outreach to both the direct and indirect sales channel. It is very important” says Sandra de Novellis, US Marketing Director.

KDDI America serves businesses with a broad array of network, data services and data management solutions, including Ethernet, IP-VPN, Private Lines, Internet and Cloud Computing solutions. During the event, the company provided information about Metro Wavelength Network Solutions and recent data management center acquisitions as part of its new product and service offerings.
