TELEHOUSE Global – New Data Centers

TELEHOUSE Global Announces the Official Opening of New Data Centers in London and South Africa

TELEHOUSE recently launched operations at two additional global data centers, TELEHOUSE JOHANNESBURG in Johannesburg, South Africa, on March 24, and TELEHOUSE LONDON Docklands West in London, England, on March 31. Both facilities will provide data center services on par with or exceed global TELEHOUSE standards.

The new $120 million Docklands West center will provide 62,336 square feet of secure data center services to start and will bring the total amount of power at its Docklands site to 40MVA. This will give organizations access to 6KW per rack to ensure all customer power requirements are met both now and in the future. Eventually, the data center will provide 424 racks per floor over nine floors, five of which will feature a “localized data center environment.” In addition, TELEHOUSE West has been designed to offer customers four redundant HV power systems on separate grids for maximum redundancy and nearly 100 percent uptime.

In addition, TELEHOUSE and South African data center operator Teraco Data Environments announced last month that they have extended their strategic alliance to include dedicated data center space in Teraco’s new neutral data center in Johannesburg, South Africa. The site, branded as TELEHOUSE Johannesburg, introduces a state-of-the-art facility that can meet the needs of customers seeking carrier-neutral colocation and data center space in South Africa. With the rapid expansion of multinational corporations in South Africa, the demand for reliable data center infrastructure that meet international standards is at an all-time high. TELEHOUSE Johannesburg fulfils all of these demands.
